Remembering millions of personal stories from the First World War

Imperial War Museum

This project, created for Imperial War Museums, tells the stories of individuals from across Britain and the Commonwealth who served in uniform and worked on the home front during the Great War.

It captures and presents over 7 million records of men and women whose stories were enhanced by over 160,000 contributors from around the UK and across the world. Working closely with the museum, and data specialists Knowledge Integration, we created an accessible, user-friendly interface that fits nicely with the IWM’s overall digital architecture and branding, but has its own clear identity.
